## About the Role The Principal Partner Solutions Architect (Public Sector - Fed) role at Datadog is a critical position that requires a unique blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and executive influence. As a trusted advisor to high-value federal partners, you will be responsible for driving technical success and shaping the future of the partner ecosystem. This role is built for someone who has already proven they can operate at the intersection of deep technical authority and executive influence, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to federal agency CISOs and roll up their sleeves to tackle hands-on deployment challenges. The Partner Technical Solutions team at Datadog is a growing global team that operates with high autonomy, collaborates constantly across functions, and sets the standard for what technical partnership looks like at Datadog. As a Principal Partner Solutions Architect, you will be part of a dynamic team that is shaping the future of the SaaS industry. In this role, you will report to the Head of North America Partner Solutions Architecture and be accountable for the technical success of Datadog's most strategically important federal and public sector partners. ## What You Will Do - Own the senior technical relationship with a portfolio of high-value federal and public sector partners, serving as a strategic advisor to partner CTO, CISO, and VP-level stakeholders - Lead joint technical strategy sessions and executive business reviews, ensuring alignment between Datadog and partner technical roadmaps at the highest levels of the organization - Architect and lead technically complex partner initiatives, including federal cloud migrations, zero-trust observability frameworks, FedRAMP-aligned deployments, and large-scale DevSecOps transformations - Design and deliver partner enablement programs, such as workshops, certifications, and technical deep-dives, that measurably elevate partner capabilities - Collaborate internally to support partner technical initiatives, such as end-customer demonstrations and proofs of value, partner team enablement workshops, assessment, advice, and coaching on lead practices - Advocate on behalf of partners' technical concerns, such as use cases, feature requests, and support issues, with Datadog internal teams and personnel - Serve as the authoritative voice of federal partner needs with Datadog's Product, Engineering, and Technical Services teams, driving prioritization decisions that shape the platform roadmap - Continuously help curate and evolve lead/best practices for Datadog platform adoption and success - Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the federal technology landscape, including procurement cycles, compliance frameworks, and the ecosystem of FSIs, GSIs, and channel partners operating in the public sector ## What We Are Looking For - 15+ years of experience in a customer- or partner-facing technical role, with a demonstrated record of operating at both the executive and deep-technical levels simultaneously - Proven track record building and sustaining C-suite relationships in federal or public sector environments - Deep familiarity with the federal technology landscape, including procurement cycles, compliance frameworks, and the ecosystem of FSIs, GSIs, and channel partners operating in the public sector - A self-starter, tech-savvy professional with exceptional business acumen and the ability to articulate Datadog value from the server room to the boardroom - Experience with cloud migrations, zero-trust observability frameworks, and DevSecOps transformations - Strong understanding of federal compliance frameworks, such as FedRAMP and FISMA - Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to federal agency CISOs and roll up your sleeves to tackle hands-on deployment challenges ## Nice to Have - Experience with Datadog's product and platform - Familiarity with the SaaS industry and the partner ecosystem - Certification in cloud security, compliance, or a related field - Experience with partner enablement programs and technical training ## Benefits and Perks - Competitive salary and benefits package - Opportunity to work with a best-of-breed product and shape the future of the partner ecosystem - Collaborative and dynamic work environment with a growing global team - Flexible remote work arrangements and a stipend for home office setup - Access to cutting-edge technology and training opportunities - Comprehensive health insurance and retirement plan
