About the Role

The Principal, Product and Technology Partnerships role at SonarSource is a strategic position that involves defining, negotiating, and managing high-impact partnerships to drive business growth. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Management and Engineering, to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities. With a strong focus on GTM strategies, you will be responsible for developing and implementing partnership plans that align with the company's goals and objectives.

As a Principal, Product and Technology Partnerships, you will play a critical role in driving the company's growth and success.

The day-to-day responsibilities of this role will involve engaging with partners at a technical level, developing and executing partnership strategies, and working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure successful partnership implementation. You will also be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, negotiating partnerships, and managing existing partnerships to ensure they are meeting their full potential.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute partnership strategies to drive business growth and revenue
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, negotiating partnerships and managing existing ones
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Management and Engineering, to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities
  • Engage with partners at a technical level to develop and implement partnership plans
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key partners and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure successful partnership implementation
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth
  • Develop and manage partnership budgets and forecasts
  • Provide regular updates and insights to senior management on partnership performance

What We Are Looking For

  • 10+ years of experience in business development, strategic alliances, technology partnerships, or related fields
  • Proven track record of successfully defining, negotiating, closing, and managing high-impact, technology-centric partnerships
  • Strong foundational knowledge of the human and agentic code development ecosystem
  • Experience leading or significantly contributing to cross-functional teams, including those with Product Management and Engineering
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to engage effectively with partners at a technical level
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with GTM strategies and partnership development
  • Strong understanding of the cybersecurity and code security markets

  • Experience working in the cybersecurity or code security markets
  • Knowledge of AI assistants and their application in code development
  • Experience with partnership management tools and software
  • Certification in business development or a related field
