## About the Role As a Principal Product Manager, Security - GTM at Gitlab, you will be at the forefront of the company's security offerings, turning product strategy into business impact. This role requires a seasoned product manager who can collaborate across various teams, including Customer Success, Solutions Architecture, and Research and Development. Your primary focus will be on understanding business performance, identifying key drivers, and creating solutions to improve product-market fit and go-to-market execution.

In your first year, you will be expected to build a clear view of key business drivers, identify high-value opportunities, and create stronger alignment across product managers working on related problems.

## What You Will Do - Lead investigations into business performance across growth motions such as expansions, up-tiers, and new logo activity to identify high-impact opportunities and set priorities for the security portfolio.
- Partner with Customer Success, Solutions Architecture, Account Executives, customers, data analytics, and finance to understand business patterns and turn insights into action.
- Drive product management work that improves product-market fit and supports stronger go-to-market execution for Gitlab security offerings, with a focus on improving adoption, retention, and growth performance.
- Recommend solutions across multiple levers, including product changes, pricing and packaging, promotions, and marketing or positioning inputs.
- Establish strategy and alignment across product managers on related problems to reduce silos, prevent duplicate efforts, and build momentum toward more cohesive solutions that strengthen business impact.
- Guide discovery on shared customer problems across scanners and adjacent security capabilities in the platform.
- Lead prioritization discussions with Research and Development to ensure that the product roadmap aligns with business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute business plans that drive growth and revenue.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to identify opportunities and threats.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Gitlab's security products and their applications.
- Proven track record of driving business growth through product-market fit and go-to-market execution.
- Strong understanding of GTM and Adjust, with the ability to apply this knowledge to drive business impact.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop actionable insights.
- Experience with product development, including working with Research and Development teams.
- Strong understanding of the security industry, including market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, business administration, or engineering.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps and the software development lifecycle.
- Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment.
- Certification in product management, such as CSPO or AIPMM.
