About the Role
The Principal Sales Engineer role at Zscaler is a critical position that requires a unique blend of technical expertise, industry knowledge, and sales acumen. As a key member of the Majors team in the Central region, you will be responsible for architecting technical solutions that address and resolve critical customer pain points. Your day-to-day activities will involve collaborating with internal teams, running Proof of Value projects, and providing industry expertise to drive sales growth.The role reports to the Director of Sales Engineering for the Americas Field Sales team, offering a structured environment with opportunities for professional growth and development. What You Will Do
- Oversee the technical sales process for major accounts in the Central region
- Run Proof of Value projects from start to finish, leveraging your technical and industry expertise
- Collaborate with internal Zscaler teams to drive sales growth and expand customer relationships
- Architect technical solutions that address and resolve critical customer pain points
- Provide industry expertise and thought leadership to drive sales growth and expand Zscaler's presence in the major accounts sector
- Develop and maintain deep relationships with key decision-makers at major accounts
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging threats, applying this knowledge to drive sales growth and expand customer relationships
- Develop and deliver technical presentations and demos to customers and internal stakeholders
- Work closely with the sales team to develop and execute account plans that drive sales growth and expansion
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a related field
- 10+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer or Systems Integrator
- Knowledge of network security technologies, including cloud-native Zero Trust Exchange platforms
- Proven track record of driving sales growth and expanding customer relationships
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex technical concepts into clear, simple language
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex technical issues and develop creative solutions
- Experience working with large enterprise and major accounts, with a deep understanding of their technical and business needs
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external partners
Nice to Have
- Industry certifications, including CCNP, JNCIP, PCNSA, CISSP, or CCSP
- Experience working with AI-driven security solutions and cloud-native architectures
