About the Role
The Principal Sales Engineer role at Zscaler is a critical position that requires a unique blend of technical expertise, sales acumen, and customer-obsessed problem-solving. As a key member of the Americas Field Sales team, you will be responsible for architecting technical solutions that directly address and resolve critical customer pain points. You will work closely with the Director of Sales Engineering and other internal teams to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.The role entails overseeing the technical sales process, running Proof of Value from start to finish, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless execution. You will be the technical and industry expert, providing guidance and support to customers and internal teams alike. What You Will Do
- Oversee the technical sales process, ensuring that all technical aspects of the sales process are handled efficiently and effectively
- Run Proof of Value from start to finish, providing technical guidance and support to customers and internal teams
- Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction
- Architect technical solutions that directly address and resolve critical customer pain points
- Provide technical and industry expertise to customers and internal teams, including sales, marketing, and product development
- Develop and deliver technical presentations, demos, and workshops to customers and internal teams
- Work closely with the Director of Sales Engineering to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activity, and apply this knowledge to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction
- Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, and product development teams
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field, such as computer science, engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer or Systems Integrator, with a focus on network security technologies
- Knowledge of network security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and encryption technologies
- Experience working with large enterprise and major accounts, with a focus on driving sales growth and customer satisfaction
- Strong technical and sales skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with Zscaler's Zero Trust Exchange platform, or equivalent experience with similar technologies
- Industry certifications, such as CCNP, JNCIP, PCNSA, CISSP, or CCSP, are highly desirable
Nice to Have
- Experience working with cloud-based security solutions, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud
- Knowledge of emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and the Internet of Things (IoT)
- Experience working with DevOps and agile development methodologies, with a focus on driving collaboration and innovation
- Strong programming skills, with experience in languages such as Python, Java, or C++
- Experience working with data analytics and visualization tools, with a focus on driving insights and decision-making
