About the Role
As a Principal Solutions Architect at Gitlab, you will be at the forefront of driving AI-powered DevSecOps solutions for global customers. Your expertise will be pivotal in helping organizations unlock the full potential of Gitlab's platform, enhancing developer productivity, operational efficiency, and security. You will work closely with a team of specialists, reporting to the Senior Director, to own technical strategy for strategic accounts and lead value stream and Proof of Value engagements.The role entails solving complex challenges across the software lifecycle by integrating GitLab, AI agents, security, and cloud-native capabilities. You will act as the technical 'CTO' for your accounts, guiding customers through digital transformation and modern software delivery. Your first year will be focused on driving successful platform evaluations and adoption as part of the pre-sales process.

What You Will Do
- Lead technical discovery, architecture design, demos, and end-to-end evaluations to validate GitLab as the preferred DevSecOps platform.
- Drive AI-focused solution strategy, including competitive positioning and business value justifications.
- Own the technical strategy and influence Customer Success Plans for assigned accounts.
- Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing teams.
- Provide advanced technical guidance during the pre-sales cycle.
- Serve as the voice of the customer, translating feedback into product requirements and roadmap input.
- Create and share reusable technical assets such as reference architectures and best practices.
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience as a Solutions Architect, preferably in a DevSecOps environment.
- Strong expertise in Adjust and Excel.
- Experience with AI-powered solutions and their integration with DevSecOps platforms.
- Excellent technical leadership and strategy development skills.
- Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native capabilities and security.
- Experience with pre-sales processes and customer success plans.
- Ability to create and deliver technical presentations and demos.
Nice to Have
- Experience with GitLab's platform or similar DevSecOps solutions.
- Knowledge of current trends and developments in AI and DevSecOps.
