About the Role
As a Principal Solutions Engineer at Wiz, you will play a crucial role in driving the company's application security strategy. You will work closely with the CTO, Field CTO, Customer Success, Product Management, and R&D organizations to maintain alignment and ensure coordinated efforts across the sales process. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a strong technical background and a passion for application security.The Principal Solutions Engineer will serve as the company's top field expert in application and cloud-native security, providing technical and business-relevant feedback to improve Wiz's position and value messaging. You will collaborate with the sales team to demonstrate the business and technical value of the Wiz platform, assisting in messaging and selling platform capabilities to prospects and customers.
What You Will Do
- Serve as the company's top field expert in application and cloud-native security
- Provide technical and business-relevant feedback to improve Wiz's position and value messaging
- Collaborate with the sales team to demonstrate the business and technical value of the Wiz platform
- Assist SEs and prospects during the POC process with advanced use cases, installation/deployment, and troubleshooting
- Lead regular thought leadership sessions with the field teams sharing insights and approaches derived through customer engagement
- Assist in messaging and selling Wiz platform capabilities to prospects and customers
- Work closely with the CTO, Field CTO, Customer Success, Product Management, and R&D organizations
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the AppSec landscape, including ASPM, SAST, DAST, SCA, and SBOMs
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud security trends and technologies
What We Are Looking For
- Strong technical background with a solid understanding of core IT, InfoSec, Cloud, and DevOps concepts
- Proven skillset and experience with a career path focused on public cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Deep, practical knowledge of the AppSec landscape, including ASPM, SAST, DAST, SCA, and SBOMs
- Demonstrable proficiency in one or more high-level languages (e.g., Python, Go, Rust) and/or advanced shell scripting
- Experience and ability to code and understand developer workflows
- Git, CI/CD, helm, terraform etc SME level knowledge of Kubernetes and containers
- Full professional fluency in German (written and verbal)
- Proficiency in an additional European language is a plus

- Experience working with Google Cloud Platform
- Knowledge of Google’s Threat Intelligence and Security Operations
- Familiarity with AI-powered security solutions
