About the Role

The Principal Specialist Sales Engineer role at Zscaler is pivotal in driving the adoption of cloud security solutions across Northern Europe. As a technical expert, you will partner with global teams to demonstrate the power and agility of cloud transformation, leveraging your passion for securing a cloud-enabled digital future. This role is remote, based in the Netherlands, and reports to the Director of Specialists Solutions Architects in the Zero Trust Branch department.

Your day-to-day activities will involve creating and delivering technical product presentations, gathering customer technical requirements, and leading product evaluations to ensure proposed solutions meet customer needs.

What You Will Do

  • Create and deliver technical product presentations to prospective customers, highlighting the benefits of Zscaler's Zero Trust Exchange platform.
  • Gather customer technical requirements to ensure proposed solutions will meet customer goals and needs, acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Lead product evaluations and custom product configurations, ensuring successful outcomes that cement Zscaler's position as a world leader in cloud security.
  • Design evaluation test plans with customers, guiding the process to successful outcomes and building long-term partnerships.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sales strategies that drive business growth.
  • Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats and technologies, applying this knowledge to improve sales engineering efforts.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Zscaler's products and services, as well as competitor offerings.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers, ensuring high satisfaction and retention rates.
  • Work closely with the sales team to identify new business opportunities and expand existing customer relationships.
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote Zscaler's solutions and build professional networks.

What We Are Looking For

  • Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience leveraging, securing, or positioning AI-driven solutions.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Technology, a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Consulting, or Solutions Architecture, with a focus on cloud security solutions.
  • Proven track record of success in sales engineering, with a strong ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working with cloud-based security solutions, preferably with a Zero Trust architecture.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex technical issues and develop creative solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong business acumen, with an understanding of the sales process and how to drive revenue growth.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Zscaler's Zero Trust Exchange platform or similar cloud security solutions.
  • Certifications in cloud security, such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Security Engineer.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, such as Jenkins or Docker.
  • Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment, with strong self-motivation and discipline.
