About the Role

The Principal Technical Program Manager, Developer Productivity role at Reddit is a unique opportunity to lead company-wide initiatives in AI-assisted engineering workflows. As a key member of the Technical Program Management team, you will partner with engineering leaders to drive the adoption of AI-native development practices, ensuring they are safe, measurable, scalable, and effective across the organization. Your expertise will help Reddit navigate the complexities of AI-driven software development, balancing flexibility with opinionated guidance to protect quality and measure delivered value.

The role reports into the TPM team within Reddit's Engineering Operations organization, operating at an executive and company scope. As a Principal TPM, you will shape strategy across multiple organizations, create alignment where ownership is ambiguous, and set the bar for how Reddit executes complex technical programs. Your success will be measured by delivering programs that change how teams think, collaborate, and make decisions, enabling new systems, standards, and behaviors to take root across the company.

Reddit is entering a new era of software development, with AI and agentic workflows transforming how code is planned, written, reviewed, tested, and shipped. As a Principal Technical Program Manager, you will play a critical role in building the path for agentic development, helping teams experiment with new workflows while protecting quality and measuring delivered value.

What You Will Do

  • Own and drive programs across Reddit's Developer Productivity and AI portfolio
  • Partner deeply with engineering teams as a technical peer to develop strategies and solutions
  • Drive project impact, execute on planning, and gain alignment with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Engage with teams to determine root causes, identify alternative solutions, and understand the effects of solutions
  • Build execution processes and reduce inefficiencies to build overall scale
  • Collaborate with senior technical leadership to make AI-native development safe, measurable, scalable, and effective
  • Develop and maintain technical roadmaps, architectures, and standards for AI-assisted engineering workflows
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks, ensuring the successful delivery of programs
  • Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous learning within the organization

What We Are Looking For

  • 10+ years of experience in technical program management, software development, or a related field
  • Proven track record of delivering complex technical programs, with a focus on AI-assisted engineering workflows
  • Technical expertise in areas such as AI, machine learning, cloud computing, or software development
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and design
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong focus on innovation and experimentation

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AI-assisted code review, developer environments, or LLM governance
  • Knowledge of cloud-based technologies, such as AWS or Google Cloud
