About the Role

The VMO is a critical component of Atlassian's customer success strategy, and as a Principal Value Advisor, you will play a key role in driving innovation and excellence in value management. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to ensure that Atlassian's value proposition is clearly articulated and delivered to customers. Your influence will extend across teams, functions, and geographies, making this role an exciting opportunity for professionals who thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments.

As a Principal Value Advisor, you will be responsible for building influential relationships with key decision-makers, analyzing customer data to identify opportunities, and developing compelling business cases to drive customer success. What You Will Do

  • Build influential, personalized relationships with key decision-makers in the DACH region
  • Analyze customer data to identify opportunities and develop compelling business cases
  • Create and deliver executive-level presentations and content to drive alignment and support for business cases
  • Drive innovation and excellence in value management, ensuring that Atlassian's value proposition is clearly articulated and delivered to customers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to drive customer success
  • Develop and share thought leadership on Atlassian solutions and support field teams in value-based selling
  • Contribute to the design and development of new VMO solutions and offerings
  • Build trust and alignment across teams, serving as a trusted advisor to both sales leadership and customers
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to drive customer engagement and growth

What We Are Looking For

  • Extensive experience in value management, consulting, or a related field, with a proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional projects
  • Deep expertise in financial modeling, business case development, and value articulation
  • Exceptional communication, storytelling, and executive engagement skills
  • Demonstrated ability to drive innovation, influence stakeholders, and foster collaboration across teams
  • Experience mentoring and developing others, with a commitment to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
  • Fluent English and German language skills
  • Relevant experience in the DACH region, with a strong understanding of the local market and customer needs
  • Ability to travel up to 15-20% for customer-facing meetings and other business needs
