About the Role
The Process Engineer - Pumping Lead will play a crucial role in leading a team of engineers and directing projects from conceptual planning to bid-ready documents. This will involve managing the design of water and wastewater treatment facilities, including pump stations, lift stations, and equipment layouts. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and experience working on complex projects.As a key member of the SolveNow, Inc. team, the Process Engineer - Pumping Lead will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This will involve coordinating with regional offices, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects meet all necessary requirements.
The Process Engineer - Pumping Lead will work closely with the engineering team to develop and implement new designs, processes, and technologies. This will involve staying up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies, and applying this knowledge to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
What You Will Do
- Lead the design of water and wastewater treatment facilities, including pump stations, lift stations, and equipment layouts
- Manage and coordinate the activities of the engineering team, including setting goals, objectives, and priorities
- Develop and implement new designs, processes, and technologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team
- Coordinate with regional offices, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects meet all necessary requirements
- Conduct quality reviews of other teams' designs to ensure that they meet the required standards
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation plans
- Coordinate with equipment vendors to ensure that all equipment is properly specified, procured, and installed
- Develop and implement safety protocols to ensure that all projects are completed safely and efficiently
- Collaborate with other departments, such as construction and operations, to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget
- Develop and maintain accurate and complete records of all project activities, including designs, calculations, and test results
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, chemical, mechanical, or biosystems/biological engineering from an ABET accredited program
- 5+ years of direct water/wastewater design experience
- Design experience of lift stations, booster pump stations, and water treatment processes
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
- Strong technical background, including knowledge of water treatment processes, pump station design, and project management
- Excellent leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and direct a team of engineers
- Experience working on complex projects, including managing multiple stakeholders and coordinating with regional offices and regulatory agencies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, including collaborating with other departments and stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions
Nice to Have
- Master's degree in civil, environmental, chemical, mechanical, or biosystems/biological engineering
- Experience working with CAD software, including AutoCAD and MicroStation
- Experience working with project management software, including MS Project and Asana
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures, including OSHA regulations and industry best practices
