About the Role
As a Procurement Analyst I at Project Management Institute, you will play a critical role in supporting the procurement team. Your primary focus will be on evaluating suppliers, managing vendor relationships, and driving cost savings. You will work closely with the procurement team to complete tasks associated with procurement needs and ongoing vendor management. What You Will Do
- Evaluate suppliers and vendors to ensure they meet the organization's requirements
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and vendors
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the organization's procurement policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
- Analyze data and reports to identify areas for cost savings and process improvements
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and develop solutions
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to drive cost savings and efficiency
- Communicate with vendors and stakeholders to resolve issues and address concerns
- Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management
- Strong understanding of procurement principles and practices
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel
- Experience with procurement systems, such as MS Dynamics and Concur
- Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Understanding of finance business operations and cost management principles
Nice to Have
- Experience with agile project management methodologies
- Knowledge of contract law and negotiation principles
- Certification in procurement or supply chain management, such as CPP or CPIM
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
