About the Role

The Procurement Lead role at Affirm is a critical position that ensures the seamless operation of procurement processes, guiding business owners through the purchasing process, and collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve company goals. As a key player on the Procurement Operations Team, you will work closely with Financial Partnerships to drive procurement initiatives forward. With a focus on honesty and flexibility, Affirm is reinventing credit and making it more accessible to consumers.

The Procurement Lead will be responsible for managing the pipeline of procurement requests, ensuring timely review and approval from stakeholder teams, and guiding internal stakeholders through the purchase request process. This role requires excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to prioritize competing initiatives and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

What You Will Do

  • Manage the pipeline of procurement requests and ensure timely review and approval from stakeholder teams
  • Guide internal stakeholders through the process of submitting purchase requests and occasionally submit requests on behalf of business teams
  • Manage vendor onboarding in the P2P system, collecting supplier details for proper review
  • Review supplier external forms to validate proper banking and tax information
  • Conduct beginning-to-end contract review in partnership with Vendor Legal
  • Manage internal events and hotel purchase processes
  • Be the liaison between Affirm's events team, Executive Assistants, and Vendor Legal to move contract approval processes along in a timely manner
  • Manage urgent and high-priority purchase requests
  • Manage all Affirm Poland purchases in partnership with Financial Partnerships
  • Communicate with Polish vendors and review Polish contracts with Vendor Legal
  • Lead and implement assigned process improvement projects that will impact Procurement and broader teams at Affirm

What We Are Looking For

  • 3-5 years of recent experience in Procurement Operations or Supply Chain Operations
  • Experience with managing urgent purchase categories and working with tight purchase deadlines
  • Demonstrated experience in helping improve procurement processes and implementing best practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize competing initiatives and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Comfortable interacting with internal partners and external counterparties to solve problems
  • Experience with procurement tools, such as Zip and Netsuite
  • Strong communication and project management skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment
  • Familiarity with Polish culture and language
  • Knowledge of contract law and negotiation techniques
  • Certification in procurement or supply chain management
