About the Role
The Producer, Global Events role at Openai is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team dedicated to crafting one-of-a-kind experiences that showcase the company's values and mission. As a producer, you will be responsible for transforming ambitious ideas into beautifully executed events that resonate with audiences and achieve business goals. You will work closely with event managers, product teams, marketing, research, and leadership to translate big ideas into real-world productions that feel seamless, thoughtful, and distinctly Openai.The Events Production team is a sub-team of the Global Events team, and as a producer, you will own the full production lifecycle, from shaping concepts to managing vendors and partners, running timelines, and ensuring every detail lands with precision. This role requires a mix of creativity, operational excellence, and attention to detail, as well as the ability to work well under pressure and think on your feet.

What You Will Do
- Manage stage productions, including content production, stage management, and AV coordination
- Collaborate on event execution strategies with event managers and business DRIs
- Support creative production, including collaborating with creative teams and managing creative vendors and partners
- Source and negotiate vendors, including identifying and securing top-tier vendors, agencies, and suppliers
- Oversee risk management and contingency planning, including securing necessary permits and insurance
- Track budgets and financials, including managing event production budgets and ensuring events stay within allocated limits
- Coordinate project management, including overseeing detailed project workbacks and facilitating weekly progress meetings
- Partner closely with teams across product, marketing, research, and leadership to translate big ideas into real-world productions
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, partners, and stakeholders to ensure successful event execution
What We Are Looking For
- 4+ years of experience in production, stage management, event production, or agency-side event production
- Strong understanding of live production, stage management, and event execution
- Experience managing budgets over $500k
- Ability to work well under pressure and think on your feet
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience working with creative teams and managing creative vendors and partners
- Knowledge of event production software and technology
Nice to Have
- Experience working in the tech industry or with AI-related events
- Familiarity with event production software and technology, such as event management platforms and audio-visual equipment
- Certification in event production or a related field
- Experience managing international events or working with global teams
