Job Description
About the Role
Product designers at WorkOS are responsible for crafting the interfaces and experiences that developers interact with every day. This includes the Dashboard, Admin Portal, AuthKit, and developer documentation. As a key member of the Product Design team, you will own the design system, partnering with product engineers to deliver consistent, intuitive, and delightful experiences across every surface.The role requires a deep understanding of the developer experience, as well as the ability to spot opportunities to raise the bar and drive initiatives end-to-end. You will engage directly with customers, gather feedback, and transform findings into scalable, reusable patterns and flows.
What You Will Do
- Lead greenfield initiatives from research to iteration, working closely with engineering to solve complex technical problems
- Improve existing products across the platform, focusing on usability, accessibility, performance, and consistency
- Engage directly with customers to gather feedback and transform findings into product improvements
- Contribute to the design system, creating, adapting, and deprecating patterns to keep the platform cohesive
- Experiment with AI tools and emerging workflows to accelerate exploration and prototyping
- Collaborate across product design, brand design, engineering, solutions engineering, and go-to-market to define, shape, and ship products
- Ship code to production, iterating on feedback from customers and stakeholders
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the developer experience, staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies
- Partner with cross-functional teams to drive product innovation and growth
What We Are Looking For
- 7+ years of experience designing platforms and complex products with information-dense interfaces
- Demonstrated systems thinking and ability to create, adapt, and deprecate design patterns
- Experience with developer tools, enterprise software, or technical B2B products
- Strong understanding of real-world complexity, including edge cases, error and empty states, accessibility, and technical constraints
- Ability to articulate design decisions and think critically about tradeoffs and alternatives
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on shipping and iterating
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Portfolio that showcases your ability to design intuitive, user-centered experiences

- Experience with AI tools and emerging workflows
- Knowledge of design systems and their application in complex products
- Experience working with remote teams and collaborating across time zones
