About the Role
The Product Designer - Growth role at Branch International is a unique opportunity to design financial experiences that reach millions of people across India and Africa. As a member of the global design team, you will work closely with the Growth team to own end-to-end design across core products, including wallets, savings, loans, rewards, and debit cards. Your mission will be to design experiences that help users discover Branch, activate quickly, and build lasting financial habits.The role sits at the intersection of craft and impact, requiring a deep understanding of the users and the ability to design simple, intuitive experiences at scale. You will be responsible for designing onboarding flows, referral programs, and conversion optimization across the funnel, with a focus on measurable outcomes and data-informed iteration.
As a key member of the design team, you will collaborate with UX Researchers, Product Managers, Engineers, and Marketers to drive growth initiatives from concept to launch. Your ability to communicate clearly and effectively across globally distributed teams will be essential to success in this role.
What You Will Do
- Own design end-to-end, leading projects autonomously from PRD to engineer handoff
- Design experiences that help users discover Branch, activate quickly, and build lasting financial habits
- Experiment rapidly with data-informed iteration, testing hypotheses and shipping experiments
- Define KPIs and iterate based on A/B results, funnel analysis, and user behavior patterns
- Collaborate with UX Researchers on foundational and formative research
- Translate insights into designs that work for customers with varying levels of financial and digital literacy
- Partner cross-functionally with Product Managers, Engineers, User Researchers, and Marketers
- Leverage AI tools fluently for ideation, prototyping, content generation, and building functional demos
- Contribute to the evolution of the design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across products and markets
- Design for acquisition, activation, and retention, owning onboarding, monetization, and referral experiences
What We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of product design experience with shipped consumer products, preferably in fintech or mobile-first apps
- Demonstrated ability to design simple, intuitive experiences at scale across diverse user contexts
- Experience with Android and Web design patterns for consumer-facing products
- Track record designing for growth, including onboarding, conversion-focused features, and referral mechanics
- Experience with experimentation, running A/B tests, interpreting results, and iterating based on learnings
- Familiarity with growth metrics and funnel thinking, including acquisition, activation, retention, referral, and revenue
- Proficiency in Figma and strong visual design skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively across globally distributed teams
Nice to Have
- Experience with AI tools for design, including ideation, prototyping, and content generation
- Familiarity with emerging design trends and technologies, including MCPs, generative AI, and AI agents
- Experience with design systems and contributing to their evolution
- Knowledge of front-end development principles and how they impact design decisions
