About the Role
Join KYS Norway as a Product Designer, focusing on creating innovative hardware products through 3D CAD modeling. This fully remote position allows you to collaborate directly with the founder, shaping new ideas into detailed designs ready for production.Responsibilities
- Create 3D CAD models of physical products using SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar tools.
- Transform concepts and sketches into detailed product designs.
- Rapidly iterate on form, proportions, and details based on feedback.
- Prepare STEP files and basic drawings for factory handover.
- Collaborate closely with the founder on product development.
Requirements
- Strong skills in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Onshape, etc.)
- Proven experience in designing physical products.
- Excellent understanding of form, proportions, and industrial design principles.
- Ability to work swiftly and iterate designs based on constructive feedback.
- Comfortable working remotely and independently.
Nice to Have
- Experience with consumer products.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes such as sheet metal, plastics, and assemblies.
- Previous experience working with Asian factories.
