This includes designing next-generation advertising tools that prioritize user trust, choice, and control. Your work will have a direct impact on how millions of people experience AI products, making this a unique opportunity to shape the future of digital advertising.

The Monetization team operates in a fast-paced, greenfield environment, where prototyping, experimentation, and iterative deployment are key. You will collaborate closely with product, engineering, research, and policy teams to bring research breakthroughs into real-world systems at a global scale. This role requires a deep understanding of design principles, user behavior, and the ability to navigate complex tradeoffs between business needs, user trust, and long-term platform health.

Openai's mission to develop and deploy AI technologies that benefit humanity is at the forefront of everything they do. As a Product Designer, you will play a critical role in upholding this mission by ensuring that monetization and advertising systems are designed with the user in mind.

What You Will Do

  • Design and build the next generation of advertising tools for an AI-first world, prioritizing user trust, choice, and control.
  • Translate product principles into concrete product and interaction decisions for advertiser-facing tools.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to define new monetization and ads surfaces, systems, and workflows from the ground up.
  • Create user-facing controls for ad personalization, data usage, and opt-out flows, as well as intuitive interfaces for advertisers to manage campaigns responsibly.
  • Navigate complex tradeoffs between business needs, user trust, and long-term platform health.
  • Develop thoughtful artifacts that help align cross-functional teams and guide execution across both consumer and console experiences.
  • Contribute to a design culture that values clarity, restraint, and responsibility as much as craft.
  • Design foundational tools and workflows that power the monetization and advertising lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with the research team to integrate research breakthroughs into the design process.

What We Are Looking For
