About the Role
PadSplit is seeking a Product Designer to enhance the member experience within our two-sided marketplace. This role is crucial for attracting the right members while ensuring the platform remains secure and trustworthy.Responsibilities
- Designing Flows: Create clear member-facing experiences for screening, identity verification, and income validation.
- Integrating Systems: Shape user experience around API-driven identity and income verification.
- Balancing Tradeoffs: Improve user flows balancing conversion rates with trust and fraud prevention.
- Cross-Functional Partnering: Collaborate with Product, CX, Data, Legal, and Engineering colleagues.
- Handling Edge Cases: Design respectful experiences for situations like failures and reviews.
- Clarifying Moments: Guide members through sensitive interactions, explaining processes clearly.
- Designing Collections: Approach collections-related design with empathy and transparency.
- Iterating Thoughtfully: Utilize research and data to identify issues and refine design solutions.
Requirements
- Strong UX experience with complex, multi-step product flows, especially in regulated environments.
- Fluency in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
- Comfort with designing for risk, including identity and income verification.
- Understanding of API-based systems and their impact on user experience.
- Excellent communication skills to simplify complex concepts.
