About the Role
The Product Designer role at Bjak is a pivotal position that entails leading the design process for high-impact products used by millions. As a hands-on designer, you will be responsible for shaping the future of financial tools, making them simpler, faster, and fairer. You will collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and researchers to define problems and deliver excellent UX solutions.As part of Bjak's lean and high-performance team, you will work in a flat organization where titles don't matter, but output, integrity, and ownership do. Your primary focus will be on designing seamless, smart, and scalable experiences that meet the needs of Bjak's vast user base. You will be expected to contribute directly to the company's mission and be an integral part of the design team.
What You Will Do
- Lead the design process for one or more product areas, from concept to implementation
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and researchers to define problems and deliver excellent UX solutions
- Create wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and polished UI designs for web and mobile
- Conduct usability testing, gather feedback, and iterate quickly to improve designs
- Contribute to and evolve Bjak's design system for consistency and scalability
- Advocate for the user and ensure their needs are at the center of every design decision
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to bring thoughtful, tested, and scalable designs to life
- Design key user flows across high-impact products used by millions
- Shape the future of financial tools that are simpler, faster, and fairer
- Collaborate with the team to identify areas for improvement and implement design solutions
What We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in product design with a portfolio showcasing web and mobile products
- Proficiency in Figma and prototyping tools
- Familiarity with user research, testing, and agile product teams
- Strong understanding of layout, hierarchy, spacing, and interaction design
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to take ownership of problems and see them through to elegant solutions
- Experience working in a flat organization with a high degree of autonomy
