Job Description

About the Role

The Product Designer role at Pavago is a pivotal position that combines UX research, product thinking, and UI design to create seamless user experiences across web and mobile applications. As a Product Designer, you will be responsible for owning the end-to-end product experience, working closely with Product Managers and Engineers to deliver intuitive, scalable, and visually polished digital experiences. Your work will directly impact product experience and customer engagement, making this a fulfilling role for those passionate about user-centered design.

The role involves a deep understanding of user journeys, flows, and systems, rather than just focusing on screen design. This approach requires a holistic view of how users interact with digital products, from initial engagement to long-term retention. By considering the entire user experience ecosystem, you will be able to identify friction points, recommend UX improvements, and implement design solutions that enhance usability, engagement, and customer satisfaction.

Pavago's commitment to innovation and user experience makes it an exciting time to join the team. With a focus on collaboration and growth, the company provides an environment where designers can thrive, learn from each other, and contribute to the development of scalable design systems.

What You Will Do

  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and behavioral analysis to inform design decisions.
  • Translate insights into personas, journey maps, workflows, and user flows that guide product development.
  • Identify friction points and recommend UX improvements to enhance user experience.
  • Design wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity user interfaces that are responsive and aligned with modern SaaS standards.
  • Build and maintain scalable design systems and component libraries to ensure consistency across all product surfaces and features.
  • Ensure accessibility and usability across devices, browsers, and screen sizes, aligning with WCAG 2.1 standards.
  • Run A/B tests on layouts, user flows, and interaction patterns to optimize user experience.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers throughout the product lifecycle to deliver developer-ready assets and provide clear interaction specs.
  • Maintain and expand design systems to support the growth of Pavago's digital products.

What We Are Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in Product Design or UX/UI Design, with a strong portfolio that showcases UX problem-solving, product thinking, and UI execution.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch, with the ability to deliver production-ready designs.
  • Experience in creating user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and design systems, with a focus on responsive design and scalability.
  • Strong understanding of UX principles, accessibility, usability testing, and responsive design, with the ability to apply these principles in real-world scenarios.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment, with excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Experience with front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus, although not required.
  • Familiarity with product analytics tools such as Mixpanel and Amplitude is beneficial for data-driven design decisions.

Nice to Have

  • Experience designing SaaS products, consumer applications, or enterprise software, with a focus on user experience and scalability.
  • Knowledge of scalable design systems and how to implement them effectively.
  • Basic understanding of front-end development principles and how they intersect with design.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing and experimentation methodologies to inform design decisions.

Benefits and Perks

  • The opportunity to work on challenging and innovative projects that impact user experience.
  • A competitive compensation package, although the specifics are not disclosed.
  • The chance to collaborate with a talented team of designers, product managers, and engineers.
  • Flexible working hours and remote work arrangements to support work-life balance.
  • Access to the latest design tools and technologies to support professional growth and development.
  • Opportunities for professional development and growth within the company, including training and mentorship programs.
  • A culture that values innovation, creativity, and user-centered design, with a focus on making a positive impact through digital products.
