About the Role

The Product Engineer position at 16VC is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of engineering, product, design, startups, and AI. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and launching products from concept to production. Your primary focus will be on understanding problems, proposing solutions, and shipping products that people actually use. You will work directly with founders, operators, advisors, and leadership teams across the 16VC ecosystem, collaborating to identify user needs and translate ideas into scalable software solutions.

The role entails a deep understanding of software engineering fundamentals, experience building and shipping production applications, and a strong problem-solving mindset. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, driving projects independently, and contributing to product strategy, user experience, and technical decisions. The ideal candidate will have a product mindset, with an interest in users, business problems, and outcomes.

What You Will Do

  • Design, build, and launch products from concept to production
  • Work closely with founders and stakeholders to identify user needs
  • Translate ideas and requirements into scalable software solutions
  • Build full-stack web applications and internal tools
  • Integrate AI models, APIs, databases, and third-party platforms
  • Rapidly prototype and validate new concepts
  • Improve usability, performance, security, and reliability
  • Own projects end-to-end and drive execution independently
  • Contribute to product strategy, user experience, and technical decisions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product launches

What We Are Looking For
