About the Role
Workos is seeking a Product Engineer - Authorization to help build reliable, high-throughput systems and define new abstractions for authorization requirements. The company's platform powers authentication, identity, and authorization for many of the fastest-growing AI companies.Responsibilities
- Architect and implement high-performance authorization systems that support real-time policy evaluation, scalable relationship modeling, and consistent permission enforcement across multi-tenant applications
- Build deep domain expertise in authorization paradigms such as RBAC, ABAC, ReBAC, hierarchical FGA, and policy-driven access control
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other product teams, solutions engineering, and GTM to ensure Authorization integrates seamlessly with the broader WorkOS platform
How to Stand Out
- Be prepared to showcase your experience with complex data modeling and distributed systems, as well as your understanding of authorization paradigms such as RBAC and ABAC.
- Highlight your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including GTM and solutions engineering.
