Product Engineer

## About the Role As a Product Engineer at Resend, you will be responsible for crafting exceptional product experiences that delight users and drive business growth. Your day-to-day will involve collaborating with designers, engineers, and customer success teams to identify user needs, design intuitive solutions, and implement them using cutting-edge technologies like TypeScript, React, and Next.js. You will be working closely with a talented team of professionals who are passionate about building high-quality products that make a real impact. The role is fully remote, with the flexibility to work from anywhere in the Americas or European time zones. While most of your work will be done independently, you can expect to participate in regular team meetings, conferences, and meetups to stay connected with your colleagues and stay up-to-date on industry trends. ## What You Will Do - Build and maintain high-quality, scalable, and reliable product features that meet the needs of Resend's users - Collaborate with designers to create user-centered design solutions that balance functionality and aesthetics - Work closely with engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of product features with backend systems - Develop and maintain technical documentation to support product development and maintenance - Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality code and adherence to Resend's engineering standards - Troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues to ensure prompt resolution and minimal downtime - Analyze user feedback and behavioral data to inform product decisions and drive user engagement - Contribute to the development of Resend's technical roadmap and strategy - Participate in agile development methodologies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives - Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in product engineering

## What We Are Looking For - 6+ years of experience in building and shipping high-quality web products - Strong proficiency in TypeScript, React, and modern frontend development - Experience working with APIs, databases, server-side logic, and product infrastructure - Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex problems into manageable components - Strong understanding of UX principles, interaction design, and product polish - Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders - Experience working in a remote team environment, with a strong ability to self-manage and prioritize tasks - Strong English language skills, both written and verbal - Experience with modern web technologies, including Next.js, and Raycast

## Nice to Have - Experience building products for developers, infrastructure teams, or technical users - Familiarity with email, deliverability, DNS, webhooks, logs, observability, or API platforms - Strong visual taste and the ability to build interfaces that feel fast, simple, and polished - Experience working in small, high-ownership teams - Familiarity with modern development tools, including Notion, and GitHub
