About the Role

As a Product Expert in PLM and ERP at Altana, you will be at the heart of the company's mission to fix globalization. Your day-to-day work will involve navigating the complexities of product lifecycle management and enterprise resource planning, ensuring that the systems defining, sourcing, building, and shipping products communicate seamlessly. You will be part of a team of ambitious, mission-driven engineers, data scientists, and domain experts working together to build a more resilient and secure global supply chain.

The role is critical in preventing supply chain disruptions and compliance breakdowns. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including governments, businesses, and logistics leaders, to ensure that product information is accurate and up-to-date. Your expertise in PLM and ERP systems will help bridge the gaps between different systems, reducing the risk of miscalculated duties, compliance issues, and supply chain risks.

Altana's platform is used by prominent enterprises and logistics leaders, such as Boston Scientific, General Atomics, and UPS, to name a few. As a Product Expert, you will have the opportunity to work with these companies and help them optimize their supply chains.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and implement strategies to integrate PLM and ERP systems, ensuring seamless communication and data exchange.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address supply chain risks and compliance issues.
  • Analyze and resolve discrepancies between as-designed, as-sourced, and as-built product information.
  • Work with stakeholders to develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date product information.
  • Design and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
  • Develop training programs to educate users on PLM and ERP systems and best practices.
  • Participate in product development to ensure that new features meet the needs of users and stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in PLM and ERP systems.

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in product lifecycle management and enterprise resource planning.
  • Strong understanding of PLM and ERP systems, including their integration and implementation.
  • Experience working with global supply chains and logistics.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance issues related to supply chains.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as engineering, computer science, or business administration.
