About the Role

The Product Lead - Growth at Plaid is a pivotal role that oversees one of the company's highest-breadth portfolios, leading product managers across Growth, Web, and Customer Foundations. This position is crucial in defining the end-to-end growth strategy across multiple channels, including website, product-led growth (PLG), small to medium-sized businesses (SMB), enterprise, and partnerships. The role requires a seasoned B2B growth leader who is highly data-oriented and energized by solving complex problems to drive efficient growth.

As part of the Customer Growth & Experience (CGX) team, the Product Lead - Growth will work closely with various departments, including Engineering, Design, Business Intelligence, Marketing, Sales, and Partnerships, to shape growth motions across all go-to-market (GTM) channels. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of how to optimize every step of the funnel, build scalable growth systems, and ensure Plaid is enterprise-ready from day one.

The CGX team owns the full customer lifecycle, from the moment a customer lands on Plaid's website to their journey across onboarding, activation, adoption, and long-term success. Within this context, the Growth team drives Plaid's multi-channel growth strategy, focusing on optimizing the funnel, building scalable systems, and ensuring the foundational infrastructure for customer onboarding, compliance, risk evaluation, and lifecycle state management is in place.

What You Will Do

  • Lead product managers across Growth, Web, and Customer Foundations to set strategy for funnel optimization, down-market acquisition, enterprise enablement, and the customer lifecycle model.
  • Define the end-to-end growth strategy across website, PLG, SMB, enterprise, and partnerships.
  • Own core funnel performance, including traffic, marketing-qualified leads (MQL), onboarding, and activation.
  • Drive scalable SMB and long-tail customer acquisition motions.
  • Partner with Sales and Partnerships to support large enterprise deals, identify product gaps, and shape deal mechanics.
  • Oversee onboarding risk engine and customer compliance workflows.
  • Build and operationalize Plaid's Customer Lifecycle Model (CLM) to ensure clean customer state and entitlement logic.
  • Use data to identify funnel opportunities, segment users, validate hypotheses, and drive experimentation.
  • Make resource allocation and prioritization decisions across a high-breadth portfolio.
  • Communicate strategy, tradeoffs, and insights to Executive, GTM, and Engineering leadership.

What We Are Looking For

  • 8-10+ years of product management experience, including 2+ years managing product managers.
  • Demonstrated success leading PLG or B2B growth at scale.
  • Strong analytical and funnel optimization skills, with comfort in data modeling and experimentation.
  • Deep experience partnering with GTM teams (Sales, Partnerships, Marketing).
  • Experience supporting enterprise deals or partnership motions.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate across multiple domains: growth, risk, compliance, onboarding, internal systems.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Strong background in using tools like Excel for data analysis.
  • Understanding of GTM strategies and their application in driving growth.

  • Experience in fintech, particularly in onboarding, risk, or compliance workflows.
  • Background in API-first or platform businesses.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance in the financial sector.
