Given Kestra's status as a universal orchestration platform, the role requires a deep understanding of how AI agents and Large Language Model (LLM)-driven workflows can be effectively integrated into the existing platform. This involves not only technical expertise but also the ability to communicate complex ideas directly and efficiently. The position is remote, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere, with access to global coworking spaces.

As such, the Product Manager, AI, will be at the forefront of this growth, driving the development of AI features that meet the evolving needs of Kestra's diverse customer base.

What You Will Do

• Define AI features from initial use cases to comprehensive roadmap planning, ensuring alignment with customer needs and company objectives.
• Conduct in-depth interviews with customers and prospects to validate AI workflow use cases, gathering insights that inform product development.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to transform validated use cases into detailed specifications and reusable blueprints, focusing on feasibility and scalability.
• Make informed decisions about which AI workflows to prioritize and which to deprioritize, based on customer feedback, market trends, and technical viability.
• Work directly with founders and other stakeholders to ensure AI product strategies align with the company's overall vision and goals.
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape in AI and orchestration, identifying opportunities for differentiation and innovation.
• Engage with the global community and contributors to Kestra's open-source project, fostering collaboration and incorporating feedback into AI product development.
• Participate in agile development methodologies, contributing to sprint planning, backlog grooming, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality AI features.
• Analyze customer and market data to assess the effectiveness of AI workflows, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for expansion.

What We Are Looking For

• Real experience in building AI or developer products, with a portfolio of examples that demonstrate depth and impact.
• Strong product judgment, with the ability to distinguish between significant use cases and less valuable ones.
• Technical fluency, including a solid understanding of agents, orchestration, and integrations, without necessarily requiring coding skills.
• Direct and efficient communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working in agile environments, with familiarity with development methodologies and tools.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, with discipline and self-motivation to meet deadlines and deliver results.
• Strong analysis and problem-solving skills, with the capability to interpret data, identify patterns, and make informed decisions.

• Experience with machine learning models and LLMs, with an understanding of their applications and limitations in real-world scenarios.
• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms and their integration with AI workflows, including scalability and security considerations.

• Participation in or leadership of open-source projects, demonstrating an ability to contribute to and manage community-driven initiatives.
