About the Role
The Product Manager - AI Platform role at Nesto Cloud is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of complex operational workflows, machine learning, and real mortgage expertise. As a key member of the team, you will help turn the early proof-of-concept of the Maestro AI platform into a fully-fledged platform that defines AI-augmented lending in Canada. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve working closely with cross-functional teams, including ML, engineering, underwriting ops, and business stakeholders, to define and deliver the product roadmap.The Maestro AI platform is already live, actively assisting underwriters with real files, and your expertise will be crucial in driving its development and growth. You will be responsible for turning complex operational reality into clear product requirements, decision logic, and shipped product, while defining and improving key metrics such as throughput, time-to-decision, accuracy, and capacity gained.
Nesto Cloud's approach to AI is different from others in the industry. By sitting at the intersection of complex operational workflows and machine learning, the company is able to embed AI directly into production, continuously learning from human underwriter judgment and connecting the full lending stack to make AI practically and systemically useful.
What You Will Do
- Turn complex operational reality into clear PRDs, decision logic, and shipped product
- Work closely with ML, engineering, underwriting ops, and business stakeholders to define and deliver the product roadmap
- Define and improve key metrics such as throughput, time-to-decision, accuracy, and capacity gained
- Build tight feedback loops between AI output and expert human judgment
- Keep execution moving in a high-ambiguity, high-accountability environment
- Stay ahead of how AI is reshaping mortgage origination and bring informed recommendations to the roadmap
- Share knowledge and expertise with the team to drive growth and improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize product requirements
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the mortgage industry and its regulatory environment
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and roadblocks to product development
What We Are Looking For
- 3-5 years of experience in consulting or a high-ownership product role in a complex environment
- Ability to write clearly, think structurally, and go deep on systems, data, and edge cases
- Comfortable operating without perfect inputs — able to find the truth, make the call, and drive the work forward
- Proven, active fluency with AI tools across your PM workflow: discovery, testing, documentation, analysis, and measurement
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to non-experts in Product and Engineering
- Experience working in a regulated industry, preferably in the mortgage or financial sector
- Strong understanding of machine learning and its applications in the industry
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders
Nice to Have
- Experience with mortgage technology and financing solutions
- Knowledge of the Canadian mortgage industry and its regulatory environment
- Familiarity with cloud-based platforms and their applications in the industry
- Certification in product management or a related field
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including ML, engineering, and business stakeholders
