About the Role

The Product Manager Data Platform role at Spotify is a critical position that entails leading the development and implementation of the company's data platform. This includes working closely with cross-functional teams to design, build, and maintain the infrastructure, tooling, and frameworks that enable Spotify to extract value from its data. What You Will Do

  • Develop and implement the product roadmap for the data platform, aligning with business requirements and stakeholder needs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, data science, and analytics, to design and implement data solutions
  • Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs
  • Lead the development of data infrastructure, tooling, and frameworks that enable the company to extract value from its data
  • Ensure that the data platform is scalable, secure, and compliant with relevant regulations
  • Develop and maintain documentation of the data platform, including architecture, design, and implementation details
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to design and implement solutions that meet business requirements
  • Work with the data science and analytics teams to develop and implement data models and algorithms that drive business value
  • Develop and maintain metrics and reporting to measure the effectiveness of the data platform

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in a product management role, with a focus on data platforms and infrastructure
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, design, and implementation
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including engineering, data science, and analytics
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote setting
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and develop creative solutions
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms and technologies, such as AWS or GCP
  • Strong understanding of data governance and security, with experience implementing compliance frameworks
