## About the Role As a Product Manager at Decile Group, you will be integral to the company's mission to transform venture capital. Your primary focus will be on owning a significant product surface area of Decile Hub, the company's platform designed to reduce barriers for next-generation investors. This role matters because it directly impacts the ability of venture capital firms to launch and grow, ultimately affecting the startup ecosystem. You will work closely with a sharp team, leveraging AI tools to inform your product decisions and drive outcomes.
Day-to-day, you will engage in a variety of activities, from defining problems and writing specs to driving alignment with stakeholders and overseeing delivery. Your ability to communicate clearly and respect engineering time by doing your homework will be crucial. Moreover, staying close to customers through calls, tickets, and interviews will help you synthesize what you learn into actionable insights, making you the voice of the customer.
The team context at Decile Group is collaborative and dynamic. As a Product Manager, you will partner across various teams, including engineering, ops, legal ops, and customer success. Your role will involve maintaining a clear, prioritized roadmap, sequencing what gets built, and why, and communicating timelines, risks, and tradeoffs proactively.
## What You Will Do - Own a product surface from discovery to launch, taking a messy problem and turning it into a crisp spec.
- Define the problem, drive alignment, oversee delivery, and follow up after launch to ensure success.
- Write specs that engineers love, including functional requirements, edge cases, acceptance criteria, and open questions.
- Stay close to Decile Group customers through shadow calls, user interviews, support tickets, and synthesizing what you learn into clear insights.
- Leverage AI for discovery, synthesis, competitive research, spec drafting, user segmentation, and more.
- Maintain a clear, prioritized roadmap and work with stakeholders to sequence what gets built.
- Communicate timelines, risks, and tradeoffs proactively to all stakeholders.
- Partner closely with engineering, ops, legal ops, and customer success teams.
- Bring clarity and structure to cross-functional workflows and keep everyone aligned.
- Use AI tools daily to sharpen your thinking and speed up your work.
- Respect engineering time by doing your homework and writing detailed specs.
- A track record of shipping complex features end-to-end.
- Exceptional written clarity and structured thinking.
- Technical fluency, with an understanding of how web applications are built.
- Active and sophisticated use of AI tools in your daily workflow.
- Experience building user-centered flows for operational, financial, or workflow-heavy products.
- Strong prioritization instincts to distinguish urgent from important tasks.
- Ability to live and work within a few time zones of Pacific (California) time.
- Willingness to use AI tools for research, writing, analysis, and synthesis.
- Background in operations, legal ops, or workflow automation.
- Experience with product analytics and user behavior analysis to inform feature design and onboarding.
