About the Role
The Product Manager role at BJAK is a critical position that entails owning product areas within the company's finance super app. As a product manager, you will be responsible for understanding user needs, defining product direction, and working closely with engineering and design teams to launch and improve products. You will be part of a global team with over 20 nationalities, working together to redefine how people access financial services.The role is remote, but candidates must be based in Australia, as the company is hiring specifically for this market. English is the main working language, and strong communication skills are required.
What You Will Do
- Own product areas across insurance, payments, savings, investing, travel, or other financial services
- Define user problems, product scope, success metrics, roadmap, and launch plans
- Work with engineering, design, data, operations, compliance, and business teams to develop and launch products
- Turn complex financial products into simple, usable customer journeys
- Use data, feedback, research, and production issues to improve product decisions
- Launch features, monitor performance, and drive iterations
- Make trade-offs between speed, user experience, business impact, compliance, and operational complexity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize product opportunities
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of user needs and market trends
- Create and maintain product documentation and roadmaps
- Work with stakeholders to prioritize and manage product backlogs
What We Are Looking For
- Experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, founder, growth/product operator, or similar role
- Strong product sense and ability to simplify complex workflows
- Ability to work with engineers and designers to ship real products
- Comfortable with metrics, user feedback, experiments, and post-launch learning
- Strong writing, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills
- High ownership and ability to drive work with limited guidance
- Experience in fintech, insurance, payments, consumer apps, or high-growth products is a strong advantage
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
