About the Role
The Product Manager, Financial Engineering role at Openai is a unique opportunity to drive the company's financial engineering efforts and technical strategy. As a key member of the financial engineering team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, finance, operations, and engineering, to develop and implement AI-powered solutions. Your primary focus will be on scaling the product efforts and technical strategy, ensuring that Openai's growing product portfolio is supported by efficient billing operations and customer experience.The role requires a deep understanding of billing, finance, and accounting, as well as experience in building solutions for commercial users of varying sizes. You will be responsible for developing a strategy and roadmap to efficiently scale the billing operations and customer experience behind Openai's growing product portfolio. This includes identifying and executing opportunities to improve the order-to-cash processing for Openai's largest and most strategic customers.
What You Will Do
- Develop a strategy and roadmap to efficiently scale the billing operations and customer experience behind Openai's growing product portfolio
- Identify and execute opportunities to improve the order-to-cash processing for Openai's largest and most strategic customers
- Build AI-powered tooling for key partner teams such as Finance and User Operations to drive better decisions and business outcomes
- Collaborate with other product teams to define Openai's evolving monetization strategies and the capabilities needed in the core billing infrastructure
- Use data to better understand internal and external user needs and guide future product development
- Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including teams in product, finance, operations, and engineering
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Openai's products and services, as well as the competitive landscape
- Work closely with the engineering team to ensure that product requirements are met and that the product is delivered on time
- Analyze customer feedback and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
What We Are Looking For
- 6+ years of product management or related industry experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Sciences, or a related field
- Proven experience working in a technical environment with cross-functional teams to drive product vision, define requirements, and guide the team through key milestones
- Strong leadership, organizational, and execution skills, along with proven communication abilities
- Experience working with AI-powered solutions and financial engineering
- Strong understanding of billing, finance, and accounting principles
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
