## About the Role The Product Manager - Fusion role at Fivetran is a unique opportunity to drive the delivery of dbt Cloud and translate the product roadmap into clear and precise product requirements. This involves setting goals, managing priorities, and measuring outcomes. As a key member of the team, you will collaborate closely with customers and downstream engineers to collect feedback and synthesize product requirements. Your work will have a direct impact on the company's mission to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity.
The role requires a deep understanding of the data infrastructure layer and how it helps organizations move, transform, and trust their data. You will work closely with engineering, design, marketing, and sales to prioritize, build, and ship enterprise-grade functionality to some of the largest and most sophisticated data teams on the planet. ## What You Will Do - Drive the delivery of dbt Cloud and translate the product roadmap into clear and precise product requirements - Set goals, manage priorities, and measure outcomes - Collaborate closely with customers and downstream engineers to collect feedback and synthesize product requirements - Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, and sales to prioritize, build, and ship enterprise-grade functionality - Balance product innovation with sales-, community- and customer success-driven feedback - Discuss, explain, and reason about investments in a SaaS platform - Use data tools to inform product decisions and drive growth - Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the data infrastructure layer and its applications - Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in the data analytics space
## What We Are Looking For - Experience in product and project management or deep experience in a related function (e.g., analytics, open source) - Ability to balance product innovation with sales-, community- and customer success-driven feedback - Comfort discussing, explaining, and reasoning about investments in a SaaS platform - Experience using or building data tools - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales - Strong understanding of the data infrastructure layer and its applications - Experience with product roadmapping and prioritization
## Nice to Have - Previous experience working with dbt - Previous experience working with modern data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Spark, Presto, etc.) - Experience with data analytics and visualization tools - Knowledge of cloud-based data infrastructure and its applications - Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems
