Job Description
## About the Role As a Product Manager - Interfaces at Supabase, you will play a critical role in defining the developer experience for over 7 million developers. Your primary focus will be on the five surfaces that developers interact with: SDKs, docs, dashboard, Management API, and CLI. You will work closely with engineering and design teams to ensure that these interfaces are readable, predictable, and trustworthy for both humans and coding agents. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, with 7+ years of product management experience in developer tools or a similar field. You will be responsible for talking to customers across the full spectrum, from indie developers to enterprise teams, to identify blockers and ensure that the right features are being built. You will own the problem statement and requirements behind every interface bet, defining what to build next and why, and collaborating closely with engineering and design teams to bring your vision to life.
## What You Will Do - Talk to customers across the full spectrum to identify blockers and ensure that the right features are being built - Own the problem statement and requirements behind every interface bet - Define what to build next and why, collaborating closely with engineering and design teams - Set the bar for what 'agent-friendly' means on Supabase, deciding how the SDK reads to a coding agent, how the docs are retrieved and quoted, and how the CLI behaves when automated - Define how each launch is measured before it ships, setting clear goals that measure developer activation, docs comprehension, agent task success, or API adoption - Keep engineering, design, and leadership aligned on the product vision and roadmap - Communicate what's coming, why, and in what order, to ensure that it feels like one product, not five - Work closely with the engineering team to prioritize and deliver features - Participate in design discussions to ensure that the product is both functional and user-friendly - Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the technical architecture and design of the product
## What We Are Looking For - 7+ years of product management experience in developer tools or a similar field - Strong technical background, with the ability to read an architecture doc, follow a design discussion, and ask the right questions - Experience shipping a public SDK, CLI, dashboard, or API that external developers depend on - Familiarity with how coding agents consume SDKs, docs, and APIs, and how to optimize for developers using them - Biased toward speed, with a willingness to ship something imperfect and learn - Ability to build with what you own, installing the CLI, calling the Management API, reading the docs end-to-end, and writing real code against supabase-js - Experience using AI tools to compress the slow parts of the job and spend more time on judgment calls - Ability to work async by default, making decisions in writing and moving work forward without meetings
## Nice to Have - Experience working with remote teams and managing distributed workflows - Familiarity with the Supabase platform and its ecosystem - Knowledge of AI and machine learning principles and their application in developer tools - Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems
## Benefits and Perks - Fully remote work environment, with the ability to work from anywhere - WeWork membership or co-working space provided - Opportunity to work with a cutting-edge technology stack and contribute to the development of innovative products - Collaborative and dynamic team environment, with a strong focus on open communication and feedback - Professional development opportunities, with access to training and education resources - Flexible working hours and a healthy work-life balance - Access to the latest tools and technologies, including AI and machine learning platforms - Recognition and rewards for outstanding performance and contributions to the company
