About the Role

The Product Manager role at Kestra Technologies is a unique opportunity to drive the development of a universal orchestration platform used by over 10,000 organizations worldwide. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for owning the full product lifecycle, from understanding user problems to defining technical specs and working closely with developers to ship high-quality releases. The role requires a pragmatic and startup-minded approach, with a focus on shipping real value fast and minimal process. You will be working closely with the Product Lead and CTO to shape and scope features for each 8-week release cycle.

The company's open-source project has gained significant traction, with close to 30,000 GitHub stars and hundreds of contributors. As a product manager, you will be expected to drive continuous improvement based on customer feedback, usage data, and community input. Your work will have a direct impact on the company's mission to orchestrate mission-critical workloads at scale.

What You Will Do

  • Own the full product lifecycle, from understanding user problems to defining technical specs and working with developers to ship high-quality releases
  • Collaborate with the Product Lead and CTO to shape and scope features for each 8-week release cycle
  • Make informed tradeoffs, balancing simplicity, technical feasibility, and long-term sustainability
  • Coordinate development progress and ensure features are delivered, QA'd, documented, and ready to go
  • Drive continuous improvement based on customer feedback, usage data, and community input
  • Work closely with developers to ship high-quality releases
  • Define technical specs and prototype using AI tools
  • Write publicly and discuss product changes in GitHub repositories
  • Collaborate with globally distributed teams across time zones

What We Are Looking For

  • Hands-on, startup-minded product manager comfortable working without heavy process or structure
  • Strong technical understanding, ideally with exposure to infrastructure automation or orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD, or similar)
  • Excellent communication and clarity in writing, including specs, product decisions, and public-facing documentation
  • Full ownership mentality, with the ability to iterate quickly based on feedback
  • Experience or familiarity with open-source development and comfort writing publicly and discussing product changes in GitHub repositories
  • Experience working with globally distributed teams across time zones
  • Ability to balance simplicity, technical feasibility, and long-term sustainability

Nice to Have

  • Past experience as a software or infrastructure engineer
  • Experience in a B2B software or open-source company
  • Exposure to SaaS products, especially self-serve or platform-oriented
  • Familiarity with developer communities and how they adopt tools
