Product Manager | Matcha

About the Role

The role requires a deep understanding of the crypto market, including DEXs, wallets, and core DeFi/trading mechanics. You will need to be crypto-fluent, with experience using crypto products and a strong grasp of the underlying technology. Your primary goal will be to increase Matcha's volume share and grow the population of 'north-star users' who meet specific trade and volume activity thresholds.

What You Will Do

• Own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for Matcha Web growth, with a focus on increasing volume share and growing the population of north-star users.
• Design and run experiments to improve acquisition, activation, conversion, and retention, using data and analytics to inform your decisions.
• Improve onboarding, token discovery/search relevance, quote presentation, and trade flows to reduce friction and increase successful trades.
• Use analytics, user research, and market insights to identify areas for improvement and prioritize ruthlessly.
• Partner with engineering and design to deliver high-quality changes quickly, and with marketing to drive top-of-funnel and re-engagement.
• Track and report progress on key metrics, including volume share, north-star users, DAU, activation rate, and conversion.
• Keep Matcha Web aligned with the broader Matcha product suite and brand, ensuring a seamless user experience across all platforms.
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the crypto market, including trends, competitors, and emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize new opportunities for growth and improvement.
• Develop and execute A/B tests, feature flags, and other experiments to optimize the user experience and drive growth.

What We Are Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in product management, preferably in the crypto or fintech space.
• Proven track record of shipping and scaling web products using experimentation and UX optimization.
• Strong growth fundamentals, including funnel analysis, cohorting, experiment design, metrics, and instrumentation.
• Crypto-fluent, with a deep understanding of DEXs, wallets, and core DeFi/trading mechanics.
• Data-driven, collaborative, and a clear communicator who can align stakeholders and execute.
• Curious, humble, and self-directed, with a strong ability to thrive in async, distributed teams.
• Experience working with remote teams and managing distributed workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex problems into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice to Have

• Experience with web3 technologies, including smart contracts and decentralized applications.
• Familiarity with crypto trading interfaces and aggregators, including Matcha and other similar platforms.
• Knowledge of front-end development frameworks and technologies, such as React or Angular.
• Experience with product analytics and data visualization tools, such as Google Analytics or Tableau.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems, such as Git.
