Product Manager

About the Role

The product team at nCino is dedicated to delivering innovative solutions that transform the way banks and financial institutions operate. As a Product Manager, you will be expected to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the fintech industry and apply this knowledge to drive product decisions.

The role is based in South Africa and offers the opportunity to work remotely, with occasional travel required. You will be expected to collaborate with global teams, including engineering, design, and architecture, to deliver products that meet customer needs.

What You Will Do

• Validate product assumptions through research, customer feedback, and usage analytics
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of customer needs and market trends
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and architecture, to deliver new and existing products
• Write effective user stories and acceptance criteria to ensure successful product delivery
• Develop and maintain product roadmaps and backlogs
• Work closely with stakeholders to prioritize product features and develop business cases
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and market trends
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI and machine learning to drive product decisions and improve customer outcomes
• Collaborate with engineering to explore and integrate AI/ML features that add value to the customer experience

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with 2+ years of experience in product management or a related field
• Strong understanding of software development processes, technologies, and methodologies
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills
• Ability to plan and deliver products in an agile environment
• Ability to gather and transform product feedback into actionable requirements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and architecture
• Knowledge of Agile principles and experience working in an Agile environment
• Experience with cloud-based products and technologies

Nice to Have

• Experience working in the fintech industry, particularly in cloud banking
• Knowledge of commercial, small business banking, treasury, and consumer space
• Experience with loan origination software/technology
• Familiarity with AI and machine learning technologies and their application in product development
