What You Will Do

• Set a clear vision and direction for security products, aligning with Canonical's business objectives and user needs
• Prioritize work effectively, managing multiple projects and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products
• Drive engagement with the open source community, promoting the open source way and advancing the open source community
• Oversee the entire product lifecycle from conception to delivery, blending technical expertise, strategic thinking, analytics, project management skills, and effective communication
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, and marketing, to ensure product alignment and successful delivery
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the security market, industry trends, and customer needs
• Identify and deliver products into new and existing market opportunities, pushing the boundaries of the technology landscape
• Analyze customer feedback, market data, and industry trends to inform product decisions and drive growth
• Manage and prioritize product backlogs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and user needs
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, ensuring clarity and accuracy for internal and external stakeholders

What We Are Looking For

• Strong technical background, with experience in software engineering or a related field
• Proven experience in product management, with a focus on security solutions
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to prioritize work effectively and manage multiple stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive data-informed decisions
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git
• Strong understanding of open source principles and the open source community
• Experience with security solutions, including threat analysis, vulnerability management, and compliance
• Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment
• Strong business acumen, with the ability to drive growth and revenue through product development

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud-based security solutions, including public and private clouds
• Knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies, including AI/ML solutions for security
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Kubernetes and Docker
• Certification in security-related fields, such as CISSP or CEH
• Experience with Excel, including data analysis and visualization
