Product Manager, Union.ai Platform

About the Role

The day-to-day responsibilities of this role will involve working with senior engineers to drive technical decisions, collaborating with designers to craft opinionated and high-craft experiences, and engaging with customers to understand their needs and pain points. You will be responsible for driving the product vision and strategy, working with stakeholders to prioritize and deliver key features and functionality.

What You Will Do

• Own the platform operator experience, driving the end-to-end journey of how customers evaluate, deploy, configure, and operate Union
• Develop a deep understanding of the workflows that customers are building, including data preparation, model training, experiment tracking, and inference at scale
• Collaborate with senior engineers to drive technical decisions and influence decision-making
• Work with designers to craft opinionated and high-craft experiences that delight technical users
• Engage with customers to understand their needs and pain points, using this feedback to inform product decisions
• Drive the product vision and strategy, working with stakeholders to prioritize and deliver key features and functionality
• Develop and maintain clear specs and crisp tradeoffs, driving alignment and influence across the organization
• Use qualitative and quantitative signals to prioritize, measure success, and iterate on the product
• Build credibility with senior engineers and stakeholders, driving alignment and influence through clear thinking, persuasion, and earned trust

What We Are Looking For

• 4-5+ years of technical product management experience on developer tools, infrastructure platforms, or deployment/distribution systems
• Proven ownership of a product area through the full lifecycle: discovery, strategy, delivery, and adoption
• Deep ML/AI orchestration domain knowledge, with a strong understanding of the workflows that customers are building
• A track record of shipping opinionated, high-craft, end-to-end experiences that delight technical users
• Engineering empathy, with the ability to build credibility with senior engineers and drive alignment through clear specs and crisp tradeoffs
• Data-informed decision making, with the ability to use qualitative and quantitative signals to prioritize, measure success, and iterate
• Influence without authority, with the ability to align stakeholders around a shared vision and plan through clear thinking, persuasion, and earned trust

Nice to Have

• Experience working with Kubernetes and cloud/on-prem environments
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git
• Strong understanding of cloud-based technologies and infrastructure platforms
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and customer-facing stakeholders
