About the Role
The Product Manager will play a critical role in driving the success of Blue Cross Blue Shield Association's product portfolio. This role entails overseeing the development, maintenance, and support of advanced technology products to meet business needs while integrating system and evolving technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT and business, with experience in leading and managing delivery on multiple projects.As a key member of the team, the Product Manager will be responsible for planning, directing, and executing product and project activities in partnership with internal and external stakeholders. This will involve defining IT and business strategies to achieve optimum delivery of software products and strategic business imperatives. The team context is dynamic, with a focus on collaboration and innovation, and the Product Manager will be expected to build and maintain positive, collaborative working relationships across various internal and external functional areas.

The Product Manager will be responsible for leading and managing delivery on multiple projects, task-prioritization, and backlog management. The reporting structure is hierarchical, with the Product Manager reporting to Senior/Executive management.
What You Will Do
- Develop and maintain advanced technology products to meet business needs
- Lead and manage delivery on multiple projects, including task-prioritization and backlog management
- Plan, direct, and execute product and project activities in partnership with internal and external stakeholders
- Define IT and business strategies to achieve optimum delivery of software products and strategic business imperatives
- Build and maintain positive, collaborative working relationships across various internal and external functional areas
- Present status updates to Senior/Executive management
- Resolve or escalate issues, propose alternatives, and set or manage expectations in a timely fashion
- Manage the development and translation of business requirements while monitoring and evaluating key performance indicators
- Ensure adherence to BCBSA processes/procedures and use data-driven insights to make informed decisions
- Drive change and implement process improvements while ensuring long-term compliance
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience working in the health insurance industry, within the Blue Cross Blue Shield system
- Strong technology project and product management skills
- Excellent team-oriented interpersonal and communication skills
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with health care products such as Claims Processing, Benefits Management, Enrollment, Customer Service, and Operational reporting
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel
- Experience in organizing, planning, and executing large-scale projects from vision through implementation
Nice to Have
- Master's Degree in a related field
- Experience with Agile project management methodologies
- Certification in product management or a related field
- Experience with data analytics and reporting tools
