About the Role
The Product Manager role at WorkOS presents a rare opportunity to work on complex, high-stakes problems that require innovative solutions. As part of the product team, you will be expected to own specific product areas with full accountability for outcomes, from the initial stages of discovery through to delivery and iteration. The role involves close collaboration with various teams, including marketing, sales, and GTM, to ensure the successful launch and adoption of new features and products.
What You Will Do
- Own specific product areas with full accountability for outcomes, from discovery through delivery and iteration.
- Engage regularly with customers to understand their needs and synthesise this feedback into clear, prioritized product direction.
- Collaborate tightly with engineering and design teams to move from concept to shipped product quickly.
- Define and track success metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of shipped products.
- Work cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and GTM teams to bring new features and products to market effectively.
- Identify 0-to-1 opportunities and drive them from concept to launch.
- Make hard prioritization calls with limited information and defend them clearly.
- Contribute to the broader product strategy and roadmap as the company scales.
- Develop a deep understanding of the product surface, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for innovation.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity to inform product decisions.
What We Are Looking For
- B2B SaaS experience, with a deep understanding of the developer or enterprise buyer.
- One of: deep domain knowledge in auth, identity, or developer tooling, or a strong track record of building developer-facing products.
- Real 0-to-1 experience, having started something from scratch.
- Customer obsession, demonstrated through constant engagement with users and incorporating their feedback into product development.
- Bias to action, with the ability to move quickly, make decisions without perfect information, and iterate.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience working closely with design, engineering, and marketing teams.
- Experience with pricing and packaging decisions, understanding how product and monetization interact.
- Background at a company with a PLG motion or developer-first go-to-market.
- Willingness to travel for team or customer meetings, roughly once a month.
Nice to Have
- Experience in managing and launching new products, preferably in the developer tooling or B2B SaaS space.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data to inform product decisions.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems like Git.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
