Job Description

About the Role

As a Product Marketing Lead at Paragon, you will play a critical role in shaping the company's messaging and positioning in the market. This involves developing a deep understanding of Paragon's integration infrastructure platform and its value proposition for two distinct audiences: AI-native startups and enterprise product teams. Your expertise will be instrumental in crafting a compelling narrative that resonates with these segments, driving the company's growth and market presence.

The role is highly strategic, requiring close collaboration with the founders, product, and sales teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of the go-to-market (GTM) strategy. Given the evolving landscape of SaaS and integration technologies, the ability to stay abreast of industry trends and competitor activity is essential. This position offers the unique opportunity to build and hone Paragon's positioning from the ground up, making it an exciting challenge for a seasoned product marketing professional.

Paragon operates at the intersection of AI and SaaS, providing a platform that enables companies to connect anything, fast, without the need to own the infrastructure themselves. This positioning at the forefront of a forming category presents a thrilling opportunity for a Product Marketing Lead to make a significant impact on the company's trajectory.

What You Will Do

  • Own Paragon's messaging and positioning, ensuring consistency across all platforms and communications.
  • Develop a comprehensive messaging framework that serves as a shared source of truth for sales, content, and partnerships.
  • Lead product launches from end-to-end, including process and timeline management.
  • Create and maintain sales enablement assets that are actively used by sales representatives.
  • Conduct market research to develop ICP personas for both AI-native builders and enterprises.
  • Share insights on the success or failure of marketing campaigns with the Demand Gen team.
  • Stay updated on competitive intelligence, identifying key opportunities and challenges.
  • Collaborate with the product planning team to ensure marketing input is considered before product launch.
  • Build and execute a GTM strategy that effectively targets and engages the identified audience segments.

What We Are Looking For

  • 6+ years of experience in B2B SaaS product marketing, with significant time spent in developer tools, API infrastructure, integration, or a technically adjacent field.
  • Proven track record of leading messaging architecture for a company or product, especially in cases of repositioning or category creation.
  • Ability to demonstrate a before/after scenario of how you've changed a company's or product's messaging.
  • Strong writing skills that can earn trust from technical readers, with the ability to convey complex ideas succinctly.
  • Experience in sales enablement that goes beyond creating decks, including training reps and building useful materials.
  • A history of successfully owning product launches from brief to post-launch review.
  • Familiarity with working alongside DevRel teams and a clear view on how PMM and DevRel can effectively divide work.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with competitive analysis and market research tools.
  • Knowledge of AI and machine learning technologies and their applications in SaaS.
  • Certification in product marketing or a related field.
  • A portfolio of previous work that showcases your product marketing expertise.

Benefits and Perks

  • Access to cutting-edge technologies and the chance to contribute to the development of innovative solutions.
  • Comprehensive health insurance and retirement benefits.
  • Generous PTO policy and remote work stipend.
  • Professional development opportunities, including training and conference attendance.

How to Stand Out

  • When applying, ensure your resume and cover letter are tailored to highlight your experience in B2B SaaS product marketing, especially in areas like developer tools or API infrastructure.
  • Prepare examples of your previous work, such as messaging frameworks, sales enablement assets, and product launch plans, to demonstrate your expertise during interviews.
  • Research Paragon and its competitors to understand the current market landscape and be ready to discuss your insights and ideas for differentiation.
  • Practice explaining complex technical concepts in simple terms, as this will be crucial for the role.
