About the Role

The Product Marketing Manager, Growth, will be instrumental in defining and building compelling user journeys for Stripe's self-serve customers. This role is a fusion of analytical and creative skills, requiring the ability to dig into data to understand user friction points and then craft messaging and content that drives user education, product adoption, and cross-sell/upsell. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Growth, Product, and Product Marketing teams to understand user needs from signup through activation and expansion.

The Product Marketing team at Stripe is a global, user-oriented group that partners closely with world-class product and engineering teams. The mission of the team is to generate customer insights that inform Stripe's product strategy, lead go-to-market for the suite of products, and create and execute campaigns to drive product growth. This is a highly cross-functional role, collaborating with various teams such as Sales, Design, Developer Relations, and Communications.

What You Will Do

  • Partner with Growth product and engineering teams to understand user journeys, identify points of friction, and define where marketing content can accelerate activation and adoption.
  • Develop messaging and content strategy for lifecycle touchpoints, including marketing emails, dashboard modules, and in-product surfaces.
  • Own end-to-end execution of growth marketing programs, including writing briefs, developing copy frameworks, managing legal and compliance review, and coordinating with MarTech/MOPS.
  • Serve as a user advocate, deeply understanding self-serve segments and translating complex product value into clear narratives that drive action.
  • Design and run experiments to optimize messaging, targeting, and channel mix, tracking results rigorously to iterate and improve.
  • Drive cross-sell and upsell programs to help existing users discover and adopt additional Stripe products.
  • Work cross-functionally across teams to deliver seamless execution across channels and touchpoints, managing complex projects with many interdependencies.

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven experience in product marketing, preferably in a growth or self-serve context.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to dig into data to understand user behavior and preferences.
  • Excellent storytelling and messaging skills, with a portfolio that demonstrates the ability to craft compelling narratives that drive action.
  • Experience with growth marketing programs, including lifecycle marketing, email marketing, and in-product messaging.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
  • Deep understanding of user segments, including startups, SMBs, and developers, and what motivates them at each stage of their journey.
  • Experience working in a cross-functional role, partnering with product, engineering, sales, and design teams.
