## About the Role The Product Marketing Manager role at Linear is a critical position that sits at the intersection of product, engineering, design, customer experience, sales, and marketing. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing positioning, messaging, and core narratives for feature releases and key launches. Your goal will be to turn technically sophisticated product work into clear, compelling stories that resonate with customers. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to refine how products are presented across in-product and external surfaces, ensuring a cohesive and effective customer experience.
The role requires a deep understanding of the product, the market, and the customer. You will need to stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform your marketing strategies. ## What You Will Do - Develop positioning, messaging, and core narratives for feature releases and key launches - Partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Design to refine how products are presented across in-product and external surfaces - Create and coordinate launch deliverables such as changelogs, demos, enablement materials, email, social copy, and go-to-market communications - Equip Sales, Customer Experience, and other customer-facing teams with the context and materials they need to communicate new launches effectively - Bring customer insight, product understanding, and market context back into product and launch decisions - Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing campaigns that drive awareness and adoption of Linear's products - Conduct market research and analysis to stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity - Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the product, its features, and its benefits - Work closely with the sales team to develop and deliver sales enablement materials and training - Participate in product planning and roadmap discussions to ensure marketing strategies are aligned with product goals - Analyze customer feedback and market data to inform product and marketing decisions
