About the Role
The Product Marketing Manager at Linear plays a critical role in shaping the company's product development system and bringing new features to market. As a key member of the marketing team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, and Design, to develop positioning, messaging, and core narratives for feature releases and strategic product initiatives. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include partnering with stakeholders to refine product presentations, creating launch deliverables, and equipping customer-facing teams with the context and materials they need to effectively communicate new launches.Linear's product development system is designed to meet the evolving needs of software teams, and the company is committed to delivering high-quality, customer-centric products. What You Will Do
- Develop positioning, messaging, and core narratives for feature releases and strategic product initiatives
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to refine product presentations and develop launch deliverables
- Create and coordinate launch materials, including changelogs, demos, enablement materials, email, social copy, and go-to-market communications
- Equip Sales, CX, and other customer-facing teams with the context and materials they need to effectively communicate new launches
- Drive cross-functional teams to achieve launch goals and ensure successful product releases
- Conduct customer research and analysis to inform product development and launch decisions
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Linear's products, customers, and market trends
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and execute product launch plans
- Analyze launch metrics and provide insights to inform future product development and launch decisions

- Strong judgment, ownership, and the ability to operate autonomously while maintaining a high-quality bar
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a proven track record of driving successful product launches
- Strong understanding of customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape
- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, with minimal supervision

- Experience working with data analysis tools, such as Excel, to inform product development and launch decisions
- Familiarity with product development methodologies, such as Agile
- Experience working in a software development company, with a strong understanding of software craftsmanship and customer-centric product development
- Knowledge of marketing automation platforms and tools, such as Marketo or HubSpot
