Job Description

About the Role

The Product Operations role at Plaid is a unique opportunity to build and manage the systems that power open finance for millions of developers and businesses. As a founding member of the Product Operations team, you will work closely with Product, Engineering, Design, and Product Marketing to define and own the operational backbone of the Product organization. Your primary focus will be on ensuring clarity of priorities, consistent execution, and high-quality product work. You will report to the Head of Business Operations, who reports directly to Plaid's founder and CEO.

The Product team at Plaid is responsible for defining what we build, why we build it, and how we deliver it with excellence. As the company scales into a multi-product company, it's essential to strengthen how Product operates. This role will play a critical part in building the systems, cadences, and standards that help teams execute consistently and at high quality.

What You Will Do

  • Own and evolve the operating system used by Product to plan, track, and communicate work, including roadmaps, planning artifacts, and execution tracking
  • Design and run lightweight operating cadences, such as planning cycles, product reviews, and execution check-ins
  • Improve visibility into priorities, progress, and decisions across the product organization without adding unnecessary process
  • Define and own the PM tool stack, evolving the tools and workflows that PMs use every day to ensure the function is operating effectively
  • Identify where automation, AI/agents, and other new workflows can materially change how product work gets done, and translate those ideas into adopted capabilities
  • Partner with Product leadership to reinforce a high-performing product culture, both virtually and in-person
  • Build systems that capture and share high-quality product work and decisions across teams, helping raise the bar and accelerate learning
  • Longer-term, own Product Manager onboarding and ongoing enablement, ensuring PMs ramp quickly and understand how great product work gets done at Plaid

What We Are Looking For

  • 8+ years of experience in Product Operations, Program Management, or a similar role
  • Experience in fast-moving, product-led organizations with limited tolerance for unnecessary process
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas simply
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Strong understanding of product development processes and methodologies
  • Experience with project management tools and software, such as Asana, Jira, or Trello
  • Proficiency in Excel and other productivity software

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in the fintech industry or a related field
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies and lean principles
  • Familiarity with automation tools and workflows
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
