About the Role

The Production Risk Engineer position at Counterpart Group GmbH is a unique opportunity for an insurance professional to leverage their skills in risk analysis and mitigation to drive business growth. As part of the risk engineering team, the successful candidate will work closely with various stakeholders, including the engineering, design, data, and operations teams, to develop and implement effective management liability and professional liability insurance products. The role is focused on production and underwriting, with a key emphasis on achieving performance and revenue goals.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the insurance industry, particularly in the areas of management liability and professional liability. They will be able to analyze complex risks, develop effective mitigation strategies, and communicate these to brokers and clients in a clear and concise manner. The ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is essential, as is the capacity to build strong relationships with brokers and other stakeholders.

What You Will Do

  • Analyze complex risks and develop effective mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate with the engineering, design, data, and operations teams to develop and implement insurance products
  • Price accounts with competitive terms quickly and thoughtfully
  • Manage quote-related communication and questions in a professional manner
  • Collaborate with the underwriting team to understand unique exposures of complex accounts
  • Provide market feedback and recommend improvements to terms, rates, and guidelines
  • Represent Counterpart Group GmbH at broker meetings and industry events
  • Contribute ideas and feedback on the suite of tools and services
  • Bind accounts through continuous engagement with assigned brokers
  • Achieve and exceed underwriting performance and revenue goals

What We Are Looking For

  • 3-8 years of underwriting experience in management liability or professional liability insurance
  • A network of brokers, carriers, underwriters, or clients in the management liability or professional liability insurance space
  • Expertise in various aspects of specialty liability products, including rating procedures, policy forms, applications, and coverage endorsements
  • Ability to successfully engage with brokers to establish long-term, profitable partnerships
  • Confidence presenting to key internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated success with high-performing sales and account management practices
  • A proven track record of success, achieving and exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual targets
  • Enthusiasm for continuous challenges in a high-velocity environment
  • Flexibility for travel, when necessary (at least once per month)

  • Experience with advanced AI and deep insurance expertise
  • Knowledge of the Agentic Insurance system
  • CPCU designation or other relevant certifications
  • Experience working in a remote setting
