## About the Role As a Profee Inpatient Coding Specialist at CorroHealth, you will be responsible for providing high-quality coding services to support the company's clients. In this role, you will be working closely with the coding team to provide various components of coding services, including calculating ProFee Inpatient E/M levels, coding CPT for bedside procedures, and recognizing critical care cases by patient acuity. ## What You Will Do - Provide high-quality coding services to support CorroHealth's clients - Calculate ProFee Inpatient E/M levels using an algorithm created by the company - Code CPT for bedside procedures when performed - Recognize critical care cases by patient acuity - Code surgical procedures typical of an ER setting to capture additional revenue when appropriate - Apply ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes to the highest level of specificity available - Accurately apply diagnosis and procedure codes utilizing ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and HCPCS - Interpret coding guidelines for accurate code assignment - Identify the importance of documentation on code assignment and the subsequent reimbursement impact - Align conduct with AHIMA's Standards of Ethical Coding and the Company's Code of Ethics and Business Conduct - Support the Company's Ethics and Compliance Program - Comply with all internal policies and procedures ## What We Are Looking For - Certified coding professional through either AAPC (CPC or COC) or AHIMA (CCS or CCS-P) - At least 6 months of on-the-job experience in coding - Working knowledge and experience with systems such as EMR and Billing - Proficient in Microsoft programs like Excel and Outlook - Ability to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and written - Ability to coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions, and meet deadlines - Regular, predictable, and punctual attendance is required - Must have a phone, reliable internet connection, and current coding materials such as CPT and ICD-10-CM coding references - Ability to maintain an ongoing productivity level and accuracy rate of 95% or higher - Ability to maintain a quality score of 95% or higher ## Nice to Have - Experience with programmatic coding - Knowledge of ICD-10-PCS and HCPCS - Experience working in a remote setting - Certification in a specialized area of coding, such as pediatrics or orthopedics ## Benefits and Perks - Remote work arrangement with flexible scheduling - Opportunities for professional development and growth - Competitive compensation package - Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance - 401(k) retirement plan with company match - Paid time off and holidays - Access to cutting-edge technology and tools - Collaborative and dynamic work environment
