About the Role

The Program Manager for Major Deployments is a critical role at Skydio, focusing on the successful implementation and delivery of autonomous flight solutions to law enforcement customers. This position requires a deep understanding of programmatic management, technical expertise, and the ability to drive projects from conception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing complex projects, preferably within the law enforcement sector, and will be adept at communicating technical concepts to both internal teams and external clients.

The role is part of the Customer Success team and involves working closely with various departments, including Product, Marketing, Development, and Engineering. The ability to navigate a high-activity, fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously is essential. The candidate will also be expected to provide input on technical activities, contributing to the broader strategic goals of the company.

What You Will Do

  • Lead and drive all aspects of implementation and delivery for law enforcement customers, ensuring successful contract execution.
  • Manage project planning, technical execution, risk management, and problem-solving, utilizing programmatic expertise and technical capability.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with law enforcement customers, serving as the primary liaison for Skydio.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Customer Success, Technical Support, Product, Marketing, Development, and Engineering, to drive development and delivery execution.
  • Utilize Excel and other project management tools to track progress, manage dependencies, and ensure timely project completion.
  • Conduct technical assessments and provide recommendations to customers on the effective use of Skydio's solutions.
  • Work closely with the sales team to understand customer requirements and develop tailored solutions.
  • Participate in the development of business cases and proposals to secure new opportunities.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies, applying this knowledge to improve project outcomes and customer satisfaction.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience as a customer-facing professional services/program manager/customer success in a similar high-tier complex and multifaceted role, preferably for law enforcement agencies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with senior leaders.
  • Strong focus on project management tools and concepts, with proficiency in Excel.
  • Proven track record of implementing new technology (hardware and software) and interfacing with technical teams to deliver on customer schedules.
  • Experience with Law Enforcement and commercial Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and related software development.
  • Understanding of agile development methodologies and their application in project management.
  • Ability to manage production and implementation programs against cost, schedule, and technical requirements.
  • Experience with effective internal business systems, processes, and controls for managing large-scale customer projects.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage ambiguity and multiple tasks simultaneously.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with programmatic management of UAS deployments for law enforcement.
  • Knowledge of systems design, systems analysis, and programmatic support for UAS integration.
  • Familiarity with acquisition planning and budget planning for law enforcement technology projects.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) or a related field.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with multiple stakeholders.
