Job Description

About the Role

The Program Manager role at DDN is a critical position that requires a unique blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and leadership skills. As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of data management solutions across multiple product lines, including the VMstore T7000 Series, Tintri Cloud Platform (TCP), and Tintri Cloud Engine (TCE). You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Product Management, QA, Support, and Operations, to ensure that programs are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, with experience in managing complex programs and driving cross-functional teams. You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and tight deadlines. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

What You Will Do

  • Own the master program schedule across multiple product lines, including TxOS, TGC, and Cloud Engine
  • Drive cross-functional program reviews, stand-ups, and milestone checkpoints
  • Maintain and publish program status dashboards in Jira and Confluence
  • Identify, track, and mitigate program risks and dependencies across teams
  • Manage the Product Lifecycle (PLC) gate process, including coordination of entry/exit criteria sign-off at each phase
  • Partner with Engineering leads to ensure sprint commitments roll up accurately to release timelines
  • Own release readiness, including GA checklists, RTM criteria, and Beta entry/exit
  • Facilitate retrospectives and drive action items through to closure
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing, Support, and Field teams on release readiness and logistics
  • Drive adoption and compliance with the new Atlassian SDLC toolchain
  • Produce executive-level program summaries on a weekly cadence
  • Manage escalation paths and ensure critical blockers reach the right decision-maker fast

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of technical program management experience in enterprise software or hardware companies
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent programs across cross-functional teams
  • Expert-level Jira and Confluence skills, with experience building dashboards and reports
  • Experience with formal PLC or stage-gate processes
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum and how it maps to longer program timelines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience writing status reports and presenting to executive-level stakeholders
  • PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification preferred
  • Background in storage, networking, or enterprise infrastructure software preferred

  • Experience running release readiness and GA gate processes
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, resource-constrained environment
  • Experience with Atlassian SDLC toolchain
